Join like-minded writers in a glorious, private retreat only fifteen minutes from Wellington's CBD. You'll have your own spacious bedroom, beautiful meals freshly prepared for you, the opportunity to meet and connect with other writers, but mostly the time and space to work on your own writing project.

The house offers inviting spaces in which to write, including multiple lounge areas and a games room with its own bar.
Outside are secluded gardens, waterfalls and an outdoor entertaining area with fireplace and barbecue.

The retreat supports intensive work, conversation and community for writers at all levels of experience and across a wide range of writing practice, and you're sure to be inspired by the environment and the community of other writers.
A reduced rate applies if you're happy to share a room (please enquire).

Tree ferns, cabbage trees, rhododendrons, avocados, walnuts and nikau palms are all well-established and birdlife abounds, with tuis, fantails, wax-eyes and kingfishers.
There's also a tennis court, swimming hole and many bush walks on the property to be enjoyed when the weather permits!

The day will start with a writing exercise (if you choose) and there will also be the opportunity for a one-on-one session to discuss your project with Jackie. And for out-of-town particiants, the opportunity to follow Wellingon's Writers' Walk in the city - the picture above is of Bill Manhire's contribution to the Wellington Writers' Walk.
